For Sickness or Worse

This series is a peek into my journey through a sudden decrease in my health over the last year. Headaches, fatigue, joint and muscle pain, and loss in libido, among other symptoms, took me from a driven, productive artist to a bedridden one within just a few months. I found that because my chronic illness was not visible to the naked eye, people often misunderstood what I was going through. Out of frustration this series was born, to create visual metaphors of how it feels to suddenly become ill and the constant feeling of being trapped in a body that had suddenly, inadvertently betrayed you.
